AURA Studio vs Lalaland.ai
Enterprise AI fashion models. Claims checked against public sources on .
Lalaland.ai is no longer a standalone self-serve product. Browzwear acquired it in 2025 and its AI models are now sold as part of an enterprise, sales-led offering for brands and retailers, alongside 3D apparel development. If you are an enterprise with a Browzwear workflow, that is the right home for it. If you arrived here because you wanted Lalaland for a small brand and found a demo request form, AURA is a self-serve alternative you can start on the same afternoon, with the trade-off that it is a much smaller product with no enterprise contract behind it.
Which one to choose
Choose AURA Studio if
- You are a boutique or small brand and a demo request form is not a buying path you can use.
- You want to start today, on your own garments, without talking to anyone.
- The face in your photos should be a specific person you chose, not a library asset.
Choose Lalaland.ai if
- You are an enterprise brand or retailer, especially one already using Browzwear for 3D apparel development.
- You need a validated, maintained model library covering a wide range of body types and skin tones.
- You need contractual assurances, procurement, and enterprise support.
What Lalaland.ai does well
Lalaland.ai built the first serious AI fashion models and did the hard, unglamorous work on body-type and skin-tone diversity that much of this category later copied, with Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and Levi's among its users. Inside Browzwear it now sits next to 3D garment development, which is a genuinely powerful combination if your business already runs on digital product creation.

The differences that actually matter
What actually changed
Browzwear announced the acquisition of Lalaland.ai in July 2025, taking 100 percent of the Amsterdam company founded in 2019 by Michael Musandu and Ugnius Rimsa. The technology did not disappear. Its buying path did: lalaland.ai now redirects into Browzwear's enterprise offering. That is the single most useful fact for anyone searching this term, and most comparison pages have not updated for it.
Why that matters for a small brand
Lalaland was, for a while, the name a small brand reached for when it wanted diverse AI models. That route is effectively closed unless you are an enterprise buyer with a procurement process. A self-serve tool is not a like-for-like replacement for a validated enterprise model library, and we are not going to claim it is.
The honest gap on representation
Lalaland's work on body-type and skin-tone diversity was its point, backed by a maintained and validated roster. AURA has no roster at all. Diversity in AURA is entirely a function of who you photograph, which puts the responsibility on you and gives you no library to fall back on. For a brand that needs to show a range of bodies without casting them, that is a real disadvantage on our side.
Switching from Lalaland.ai
There is no migration path in either direction, and none is needed: the assets you already have remain yours. If you were evaluating Lalaland and found the enterprise route, the useful next step is to test a self-serve tool on your own garments and see whether the output clears your bar before you consider a contract anywhere.
Questions
- Is Lalaland.ai still available?
- Not as a standalone self-serve product. Browzwear acquired the company in 2025 and its AI models are now part of an enterprise, sales-led offering. Its site redirects into Browzwear's B2B e-commerce pages.
- What is the closest self-serve alternative?
- There is no exact equivalent, because the validated enterprise model library was the point. Self-serve AI fashion studios, AURA included, cover the on-model imagery job for smaller brands but do not offer a maintained, validated model roster.
