Does AURA use stock AI models?

No. The workflow starts from a photograph of a real person you choose, and that same face and those proportions are reused across every garment you shoot afterwards. There is no maintained model roster, which is a genuine limitation if you need to show a wide range of bodies without casting them.

Why it exists

A photoshoot is priced for a brand that shoots a season at a time. Published 2026 estimates put a full day of e-commerce fashion photography in the thousands, producing a few dozen finished images, and the calendar cost is usually weeks. That is the wrong shape entirely for a shop that gets new stock on Monday and wants it selling on Tuesday, so what happens instead is that the piece gets photographed on a bed against a wall, or it does not get photographed at all and sits in a box.

AURA exists for the gap between those two options. It is not trying to produce a campaign image, and we say so on the comparison page with traditional photography rather than pretending otherwise. It is trying to make the routine, high-volume, product-level imagery a shop needs every single week cost minutes instead of a booking.

What we chose not to build

This list is on the site on purpose. Every tool in this category publishes what it does; the useful information is usually the other half.

No store or marketplace integration. You download files and post them.
No public API. If you need to wire generation into your own systems, other tools do that and we do not.
No ghost mannequin, no model swap on an existing photo, no explicit pose control surface.
No jewellery, eyewear, footwear, or children's clothing. Adult clothing on a person is the whole product.
No maintained roster of AI models. The person in your photos is the person you photographed.
Not the cheapest per image. AURA is priced against what a shoot costs, not against other generators.

How we write about competitors

We publish comparison and alternatives pages, and we benefit when people read them, so the standard has to be written down somewhere you can hold us to.
