What AI fashion photography costs per image in 2026
By The AURA Studio team. Published .
On entry plans checked on 2 October 2026, one AI on-model image costs from under one cent (Photoroom, at 1K) to about $1.30 (Veeton), and six of ten tools land between roughly 0.10 and 0.60 in their own currency. AURA Studio's Starter plan works out at €0.19 a photo. The real cost is higher: divide by the share of attempts you would actually post.

Price per image on every entry plan
Each figure below is the entry plan's monthly price divided by the number of on-model images its credits buy at the standard setting, as each vendor states it. Prices are in the vendor's own currency and were read on its own site on 2 October 2026. AURA Studio publishes this guide and is one of the ten.

- Photoroom
- The pricing table lists up to 1,600 AI fashion model generations at 1K on Pro if all credits go to that one feature; 2K fashion models start on Max
- FASHN
- The pricing page says most tools start at 1 credit per output; its API docs list 1 to 5 credits by resolution and quality, plus 3 for a face reference
- Photta
- Includes 5 free do-overs a month; EU visitors see €13 including tax
- Botika
- Includes 2 retouch rounds per photo on Pro
- AURA Studio
- Unused credits roll over one month; a failed generation is refunded; outputs are 1024x1024, 1024x1536, 1080x1350 and 1080x1920

Paying yearly lowers most of these. On the same date that brought AURA to about €0.16 an image, Botika to about $0.92, WearView to about $0.96 per HD image and Claid, at $108 a year, to about $0.07. Modelia has no self-serve annual discount.
Also checked on the same day: Ayna at $14 for about 20 images (about $0.70 each), On-Model by PiktID at €19 for up to 40 images at 1080p (about €0.48), and Uwear, which has no subscription and charges from 3 credits at $0.10 each, so from about $0.30 a photo. Pixelcut's try-on API costs $0.10 an image, but its own FAQ says try-on works on tops only for now.
Prices in this category change often. If a figure here disagrees with the vendor's own page, the vendor's page is right.
The general image models, priced per image
You can skip the fashion tools and call a general image model yourself, attaching the garment and a model photo to every request. Google publishes per-image prices for its models on the standard paid tier.
- Gemini 2.5 Flash Image
- $0.039 per image, up to 1024x1024
- Gemini 3.1 Flash Image
- $0.067 at 1K, $0.101 at 2K, $0.151 at 4K
- Gemini 3 Pro Image
- $0.134 at 1K or 2K, $0.24 at 4K
Checked on Gemini API pricing.
Those are raw prices. You write the instruction, attach the references in the right order, keep the face consistent and check every result yourself, and your time is the cost that does not show. For a handful of images a month it is often the cheapest route; for a weekly catalog the fashion tools exist to remove that work. Our comparison with ChatGPT and general AI image tools covers where the line falls.
Why one image costs a hundred times more in another tool
- Resolution. A 1K image and a 4K image are different products. Instagram feed posts and stories are 1080 pixels wide (sizes guide); for a zoomable product page Shopify says "for square product images, a size of 2048 x 2048 px usually displays best" (Shopify Help). Price the resolution you will actually use.
- What is included. Botika's high headline price includes two retouch rounds per photo, and Photta's includes five free do-overs a month. Most other tools charge for every attempt.
- What the credits are shared with. In Photoroom and Claid the same credits pay for backgrounds, edits and upscaling, so the per-image figure assumes you spend nothing else.
- Rollover. Unused credits carry over for one month in AURA, two months in Veeton on monthly billing, and up to a cap in FASHN. Check the others before a quiet month, or the credits may simply expire.
- Currency and tax. Most tools list US dollars; AURA, On-Model and Photta's EU prices are in euros. This guide does not convert them.
The number that matters: cost per keeper
A keeper is an image you would actually publish. Every tool sometimes misses: the hem lands in the wrong place, a sleeve loses its volume, a hand looks wrong (what AI fashion photography still gets wrong). If you pay for every attempt, the price per keeper is the price per image divided by the share of attempts you keep.
Find the price of one credit
Plan price divided by credits. $30 for 150 credits is $0.20 a credit.
Find the price of one attempt
Credits per image times the price of a credit, at the resolution you need. At 3 credits, an attempt costs $0.60.
Measure your keeper rate in the trial
Run your three hardest pieces, a busy print, something structured and something sheer or shiny, and count how many attempts it takes to get each image you would post.
Divide
At one keeper in every three attempts, a $0.60 attempt becomes a $1.80 image. At one in five, $3.00. That figure, not the headline, is what the tool costs you.
The numbers in the example are illustrations, not measurements; your keeper rate depends on your garments and your standards. Most tools let you measure it for free: on 2 October 2026 FASHN gave 10 credits, Photta 20, Nightjar 6, Claid 50 plus 50 API credits, Veeton 100 for 7 days, Modelia 20 a month with a watermark, Botika a free trial, and AURA a week with 10 photos and 1 video, with no card. WearView has no trial and offers a money-back guarantee instead. Our tools guide has the full test protocol.
What a clip costs
| Tool | Credits per clip | Price per clip |
|---|---|---|
| FASHN | 1 to 12, by length (5 or 10 s) and resolution | $0.10 to $1.14 |
| AURA Studio | 3, 4 or 6 for 5, 8 or 12 s at 720p | €0.58 to €1.16 |
| Veeton | 2 per second | $1.30 for 5 s |
| Claid.ai | 60 per 5 s | $1.80 for 5 s |
| Botika | 5 per video, length not stated | $5.50 |
WearView and Photoroom offer video from their second plans, and Nightjar has none. AURA's 1080p clips cost three times the 720p credits and start on the Studio plan, €89 for 500 credits, where a 5-second 1080p clip is about €1.60.
Against a photoshoot
Published 2026 estimates put a full e-commerce fashion shoot at roughly $35 to $165 per usable image once photographer, studio, model and retouching are counted. Even a $3.00 keeper is an order of magnitude cheaper. The comparison is still not like for like: a shoot buys real fabric in real light and a photographer's judgement. What a fashion photoshoot costs shows where each one is the right call.
Which plan is cheapest for you
- A few images a month and comfortable with prompts: a general model, from $0.039 an image, plus your time.
- Lowest price in a fashion tool: FASHN at 1K, Claid or Nightjar. Photoroom if 1K is enough and you edit other products too.
- You want misses fixed for you: Botika, where the retouch rounds are part of what the higher price buys.
- Zoomable product pages at 2K or 4K: Nightjar, Modelia, Photta or FASHN at their higher settings.
- Instagram and TikTok posts with one consistent face and video: AURA at €0.19 a photo in 1080-pixel platform formats. Not the right pick if you need 2K product-page files.
Whatever you choose, judge it on cost per keeper from your own trial, not on this table. See AURA's plans or start the free week.

Questions
- How much does an AI fashion photo cost?
- On entry plans checked on 2 October 2026, from under one cent (Photoroom at 1K) to about $1.30 (Veeton) per generated image, with six of ten tools between roughly 0.10 and 0.60 in their own currency. The cost per image you actually publish is higher, because most tools charge for every attempt.
- What is the cheapest AI fashion photography tool?
- Per image, Photoroom's Pro plan at 1K resolution, then FASHN at 1K and Claid. Cheapest per image is not cheapest per keeper: resolution, retries and what the credits are shared with change the real price.
- What does AURA Studio cost per photo?
- €0.19 on Starter (€29 a month for 150 credits, one credit per photo), about €0.16 billed yearly. A failed generation is refunded; a finished image you decide not to use is not. Video costs 3 to 6 credits at 720p.
- Do I pay for AI images I don't use?
- Usually, yes. Most tools charge for every completed generation. Exceptions on 2 October 2026: Photta includes 5 free do-overs a month and Botika includes retouch rounds. That is why cost per keeper matters more than the headline price.
- Is AI cheaper than a photoshoot per image?
- By about an order of magnitude even after misses: published 2026 estimates put a shoot at roughly $35 to $165 per usable image. It is not the same product, though, and campaign imagery often still deserves a photographer.
